These workin' hands have accomplished a lot. My nails don't always look perfect, and that's okay. I'm pretty proud of how far they've taken me in 10 years (and the fact that I still have all 10 fingers π)
Finally a use for all the pie servers I've collected! These stick pin hair pieces will hold a LOT of hair! I prefer to secure my hair first and then use them as an accessory.
These will be available at Tulip Time in Holland on May 4th/5th, and then the remaining will be listed on Etsy.

Last year I started making small hair clips, but I really wanted to create something that would fit more hair, like a larger barette. I'm SUPER thrilled with how these monstera hair pieces turned out, and they'll make great use of the big bin of spoon bowl ends I have leftover. Barettes to fit thick hair, and some smaller tension clips to suit thinner hair.
This is just one of a few hair piece designs I've been working on lately... More to come soon!
I have been accepted to Tulip Time Festival!π·
I will have some tulip items, including these sweet little baby spoon pendants with hand-cut tulips. Any that don't sell at Tulip Time will be listed on Etsy, but it may be your only chance to snag one!
The artisan market will be at the Ottawa County Fairgrounds on May 4th & 5th, 10am-5pm.

Baby spoon mushie pendants! When finished, they don't even look like they came from silverware, but I wanted to make this to show you they definitely are. Super light, super cute, and ready to fulfill your cottagecore dreams.

Something exciting happened recently (well, to me anyways)... After waiting 8 years, I finally own thespoongirl.com! I do still own the-spoon-girl.com, but it will be so much easier to give out my website now. It's the little things. π
Also, I am re-opening my Etsy shop and will be moving all listings over in the coming weeks. I'm hoping to do some major reconstruction on my website for portfolio purposes, and this will allow for the shop to remain open while I do. Currently there are different listings between the two but I aim to have everything up on Etsy soon! Thanks for your patience while I transition. β€οΈ
You can find all available windchimes listed on Etsy now, and it's the perfect time to put them out!

When my husband asked me to make his wedding ring out of a spoon, I wasn't sure I'd be able to find a spoon skinny enough to make a band with... Not to mention solder the two ends together perfectly and make it worthy of wearing forever. After scouring Ebay, we found exactly ONE spoon that he loved and I thought might work, a sterling silver teaspoon from 1902. I got one chance at it.
Thankfully it ended up being *just* long enough to make it the right size. And I got the solder joint on the first try. It felt meant to be.
I absolutely loved the pattern on the handle end and it makes me think of all the wild flowers we had on our wedding day, so I turned it into a pendant for myself. Now I feel even closer to him when he's away. β€οΈ
Sometimes it's the ideas others come up with that test your limits and become your proudest pieces of work.
Ring box photo credit to @laurenperrinphoto - thank you again for capturing all of these little details that mean the world!
I have a lot of pickle forks that are too wide or the wrong shape to make rings with, so I came up with these cute squid earrings! Definitely more of these to come.
This is currently the only pair in existence, and they're now listed on my website. Snag them before they're gone!
Sometimes when I dig through my bins, I find little treasures I didn't even know I had. I have never seen a pattern like this before!
Can you get any cuter than a gnome feeding a squirrel, sitting on a mushroom?? π I debated on earrings or two pendants, maybe one for myself? But my mom and sister fell in love before they were even finished, so pendants they became!
If you ever find a piece you adore, I'm happy to make something with it for you. π
